Açaí

Açaí is a typical fruit from Northeast of Brasil that today is consumed in almost all Brazilian states. Our country is one of the major exporter of acai in the world.
The word açaí has indigenous origin, means the fruit that cries, that eliminate water. Known also as Juçara is purple or black color fruit that gives in trusses known as açai palm, a species of palm found in Amazonas, Para, Maranhao, Amapa and Acre.
This delicious fruit is present in several recipes such as: juices, jams, jellies, ice cream, but it’s the acai bowl that was highlighted, it is sold in juices stores and natural snacks. 
The açaí bowl is kind of a cream made with açaí pulp, which can add several other ingredients such as banana, strawberry, natural guarana, ginseng. This food is full of vitamins but also is highly caloric. The açaí fruit is rich in protein, fiber and lipids, possess vitamins C, B1 and B2, and good amount of phosphorus, iron and calcium. The pulp of the açaí is a great energy, each 100 grams has 250 calories.
Try this Brazilian delicious. A bowl of açaí combines  with granola. The cream with the crunchy granola is the delicious! A food full of vitamins to give energy for a day of sun and sea!
